My First Traditional Art

     I have a great passion for traditional art.This is my first traditional painting. This one was drawn on an order I received.This is a painting about the Kandy Perahara which comes in the Kandy art tradition.
 
           This is painting drawn in acrylic medium on a board three feet wide.I have used a number of short colors to draw this picture, including the three main colors red,yellow and white.All the lines here are very finely drawn with brush.🖌️🖌️
         I really love these traditional Sri Lankan art styles and I look forward to drawing more in the future.😊😊😊

I'm very fond of reading. It is my habit to read silently every book I come across. I'm more fond of poetry anthologies than novels and short stories. A mong the poetry anthologies I have read, the book " hiruth hima piyallaka"can be identified as one of my favorite books.      The book was written by Sir.Mahinda Prasad Masimbula and won the state award for best poetry collection in 2010. The book is written in sinhala and one of the poem included is " wisal" ( massive ).
